Our bi-weekly group runs focus on building healthy base mileage and getting runners incorporated into the local running community. You run at your own pace, and we can provide you with a route for your desired mileage that starts and ends at the shop. While it is not required to run with others, it is easy to find a group/buddy doing a similar run to your own. A great way to stay accountable for your weekly mileage!

Our track group is focused on building speed, strength, form and fortitude. Each week you will receive a planned track workout with a coach available to help guide and encourage you. Looking to bring down your mile time? Chasing down that new personal record? This might be the group for you!

West Seattle 5k Race Party with West Seattle Runner
As you know, West Seattle Runner has sponsored the West Seattle 5k since we opened. We believe in the importance of this race since it benefits West Seattle High School, right across the street from our shop! We usually gather down there before the race starts, so we welcome you to meet at our booth near the start line. We can all pump each other up before crossing the line. We also hope we can group up by expected finish times and talk about if anyone needs a pacer etc. There is power in numbers. OH AND LET'S SEE HOW MANY WEST SEATTLE RUNNER SHIRTS WE CAN GET ON COURSE!

Float Dodger 5k
Seattle's most fun summer running tradition! Celebrating our 10th anniversary in 2024! Imagine running down California Ave SW, a main drag usually reserved for cars. Imagine being cheered by thousands of people, the entire length of the run. Imagine trying to outrun spectacular parade floats of the West Seattle Summer Parade. All of this can be yours at the West Seattle Float Dodger 5K. Finish your run with a root beer float! Join us at the parade viewing and Good Society Brewery beer garden party after the race at West Seattle Runner. Beer sales go straight to West Seattle Food Bank. 100% of the proceeds benefits our non-profitWest Seattle Food Bank!

Orca Half West Seattle Runner Cheer Station
West Seattle Runner will be organizing a cheer station for our runners doing the Orca Half or 8 miler. While this is a 2 day event, we have run group on Saturday. So Sunday we will be on the course to offer you support. If you aren’t running and want to cheer on your community, we would love for you to gather with us. The exact time and location is TBD. Boston Marathon Send Off Group Run
We want to send off the folks heading out to Boston. It will be a chance for us to celebrate your accomplishment and also for those who don't yet know one another to connect beforehand in case you want to meet up in Beantown or strategize and share tips. Everyone feel free to wear old Boston gear or blue and yellow in support of those running. We will have refreshments back at the shop after the run for social hour.

Runner's Relay
Come for our 14th Anniversary Sunday Group Run! It will be a Runner's Relay, with some silly-fun activities put on by Ferguson! All levels are welcomed. Followed up by mimosas and sparkling cider at the shop!
14th Anniversary Saturday AM Group Run
Come for our regularly scheduled group run, but it is our 14th anniversary weekend, so we will have chocolate milk and donuts and socializing afterwards.
Live Music: The Potholes
We have hired The Potholes to play for you after the Brooks Group Run! This weekend is all about thanking you for being our favorites and supporting our shop for the past 14 years, so here is a little something extra. We will serve bevvies and snacks. We hope you enjoy the evening. They will play for 45 minutes to an hour. Here is a little more about the potholes.
The Potholes play high energy funky-fusion for high energy funky humans! Home of the grooviest bangers on the block, served with a side of guac and a hint of rock.
Brooks Group Run- 14th anniversary!
Come for our Brooks sponsored group run. They will bring shoes you can wear for the run to try them out for free! We will gather at the shop afterwards to listen to The Potholes and enjoy beverages and snacks. There will be a raffle drawing! Thank you for 14 great years!!

West Seattle Runner Leprechaun Leg Group Run w/Good Society
We are hosting our 3rd Annual Leprechaun Leg Group Run with Good Society Brewing. We will gather at Hiawatha Track and run a 3 mile route through the neighborhood and end at Good Society. They are opening early just for us!! The start time is TBD!!! But we just wanted you to mark your calendars. This is a free event. It is only a group run, not a race!
