Our bi-weekly group runs focus on building healthy base mileage and getting runners incorporated into the local running community. You run at your own pace, and we can provide you with a route for your desired mileage that starts and ends at the shop. While it is not required to run with others, it is easy to find a group/buddy doing a similar run to your own. A great way to stay accountable for your weekly mileage!

CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW Saturday Morning The West Seattle Runner Group
We will CANCEL run group tomorrow. Mostly because the forecast and the fact that we already have a run group set up for Sunday, so let's just make it simple so y'all have time to adjust and adapt your plans. Our Sunday run group will start at 8:30am. We will meet at Hiawatha. We plan on a 3 mile route. However, since we are now replacing run group from Saturday, we can bring other routes out for you. Let us know if you desire a map for another distance!! We will do coffee at Current afterwards!
West Seattle Runner Leprechaun Leg Group Run w/Good Society
We are hosting our 5th Annual Leprechaun Leg Group Run. We will gather at Hiawatha Track and run a 3 mile route through the neighborhood and end at CURRENT COFFEE this year!!! OS1st Group Run: Free Socks!
Come for our regularly scheduled Wednesday night Group Run!! The first 25 runners/walkers will get a FREE pair of OS1st socks. And they are cozy!
Women's Workshop
West Seattle Runner is hosting another Women's Workshop!! This is an event for women who run and walk and workout to come together to learn more about ways to support our unique health needs.
This year, we will be supporting a charity. We chose Girls on the Run! They will be at the event so you can learn more about the program, ways to volunteer, support and more. West Seattle Runner will be donating 10% of sales for the evening to Girls on the Run.

We will have 3 presenters. Michelle Babb MS, RD, CD, is a registered dietitian who holds a Master's degree in nutrition from Bastyr University. She provides clients with the tools they need to achieve optimal health through nutrition education, creative fitness, and emotional balance. We have asked Michelle to speak about nutrition as it pertains to hormones of the female athlete.
Lina Sims, PT, DPT is passionate about women’s health and related pelvic floor conditions. Her interest in women’s health comes from her own pregnancies and postpartum experiences with her two children. Her focus is to guide patients using education, manual therapy, and movement, to help reach their individualized goals. Lina continues her specialty coursework through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She will be teaching us pelvic floor exercises.

Dr. Stefie Deeds, MD FACP, a board-certified Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine specialist in West Seattle will cover perimenopause/menopause (Role of HRT for joints/sleep), strength training needs (bone health/ what the research shows), and the role of recovery/sleep in performance.

We will have a demo fleet of Brooks bras! Justine will get you fitting in a bra and we will do a couple laps at the track to wear test them. We will also raffle off a couple bras! Hawthorne Massage has generously donated $100 gift certificate for the raffle!!

Come for our regularly scheduled Track Tuesday nd you can demo some fun shoes from Mizuno. We will demo fleets of the Elites (a super shoe with incredible return), the Zen 2 and Rider and Inspire for a more tradish option.

Lincoln Park Field Trip Group Run
We are taking the show on the road! We will be doing some Lincoln Park Fieldtrip runs from now until One Step Closer in August. Until May, it will take place on some Saturday mornings for our usual 8am run. After our May races, we will be adding some Friday night Lincoln Park runs to the line-up for further prep for One Step Closer. Be watching our events here, our Heylo platform, our FB page or the West Seattle Blog for the schedule updates. Let's meet near the first parking lot, the big lot. We will provide routes. It is best to not leave valuables in your car.

Adopt-A-Street Clean Up
West Seattle Runner is hosting our first service day of 2026! We are starting with Adopt-A-Street Clean Up. We will get started as folks filter back from run group. Most of our training groups are doing 6 miles that day, but for folks walkign and running shorter miles, you can start the clean up when you get back. We will have all the supplies and maps at the shop for you. If you have any special gloves or trash grabbers you like to use etc, feel free to bring those. We plan on supplies for about 25 people but would be thrilled to have more join us!! We will have the official start time be 9am for folks who aren't running or walking with us that day to have a ballpark on when to arrive.

Trackside PT with Upward
Come to our regular Track Tuesday and enjoy trackside injury screens by Linn Zhang from Upward Physical Therapy. Weather permitting, Linn will be with us at Hiawatha to offer 1:1 assessments. If it is wet and terrible :) we will host the injury screens indoors at the shop and athletes can go over when it is their turn to be looked at. We are excited to welcome the new clinic and happy to have another opportunity to offer you more services.
